What services or products does your business offer?
The Pennsylvania National Horse Show Foundation is the parent organization for the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Recognized as a premier equestrian event, The Pennsylvania National Horse Show (PNHS) has been held indoors at the State Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, PA since its inception in 1945. Known locally for its contributions to the community and globally for excellence in competition, PNHS attracts top Hunters and Jumpers, sport horse enthusiasts and spectators who find the show exciting, educational and inspiring. Visitors enjoy the intimacy of one competition ring, a full concourse of shops and a variety of special events. Over $500,000 is awarded in prize money during the 10 days of competition. Qualified competitors from the US and abroad vie for 8 National championships crowned during the event. The highlight is the Prix de Penn National Grand Prix featuring Olympic and International riders.
How does your business separate itself from your competition?
The PNHS is only one of three indoor, end of year qualifying horse shows existing in the United States.
How do you see your business growing in the future?
It is important for the local community to support the PNHS through attendance and sponsorship. My goal is to get more local corporations involved.
How does your business get involved in the community?
The mission of the Foundation is to make grants exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to acquaint, teach and train the public in therapeutic equestrian endeavors and to support equine rescue efforts. Each year, we grant proceeds from the PNHS to these local groups.

How has Chamber membership been beneficial to your business?
The Chamber has been a great source for networking!! The staff at the Chamber has been instrumental in connecting our Foundation with local groups. The events held by the Chamber are a great way to network!
Proceeds from the Show benefit the Pennsylvania National Horse Show Foundation, a 501(c)(3)tax-exempt non-profit organization and provides support for therapeutic riding and equine rescue programs. The Foundation makes grants exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to acquaint, teach and train the public in therapeutic equestrian endeavors and to support equine rescue efforts. 2016 marked the first year the Foundation highlighted its charities on “Foundation Friday.” Two Championship therapeutic classes were held during the horse show and a PNHS Foundation “Therapy Horse of the Year” was named and honored in the main competition ring.
