Capital Region 2014 Community Assessment – Over the last five years, there has been a steady increase in the demand for health and human service programs in the Capital Region. To identify and understand the needs of our community, United Way of the Capital Region formed a partnership with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber, West Shore Chamber of Commerce, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, and Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry Counties.
Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) – CAEDC is Cumberland County’s authorized agency charged with leveraging and promoting Cumberland Valley’s economic development and tourism assets to drive growth, create jobs and improve the quality of life. Marketing activities executed by the tourism arm of CAEDC, the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau, promote Cumberland Valley as a travel destination, attract visitors to the area, enhance the visitor’s experience, and encourage overnight stays.
