HR Administrative Assistant
Messiah LifewaysWe are seeking an HR Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including maintaining HR systems (HRIS), reporting, and general administrative support. But more than that, we are looking for an individual that understands the importance of creating a healthy work culture and partnering well across complex organizations.
This person will thrive in a heavily administrative role demonstrating a strong attention to detail, organization, and is comfortable navigating our HRIS platform Essential to this position is a balanced ability to provide excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in administrative and HRIS support tasks.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for the Human Resources department, including ordering supplies, processing employment verifications, and maintaining employment data in Paycom and Relias
Maintains accurate and complete employee records, including team member files and other documents
Ability to effectively multitask and adapt to frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment. Serve as a point of contact, providing smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
Helps to coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees processing background checks, along with helping track our onboarding process
Manages and coordinating schedules for the HR department, including meetings and events
Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws
Assist in the development of standard and ad-hoc reports from the HRIS database. Responsible for running monthly reports.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users
Assist with permissions, access levels, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users
Train staff on system usage and create necessary documentation to support user questions
Qualifications
1-3 years of administrative or office support experience, preferably in a Human Resources or healthcare setting.
High School diploma or GED equivalency required
Provide in-person customer service
Knowledge of HRIS systems and databases preferred
Experience with Microsoft office suite
Strong critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail, with an ability to handle confidential information
