Taste of the Chamber Recap
Taste of the Chamber, held on April 11th, had over 450 registered attendees at Bobby Rahal Toyota and hosted new and returning vendor members. Attendees from our membership and the community enjoyed an evening of tasting some of the best dishes from our culinary members.
At the end of the event, two member exhibitors were awarded the Overall Best Taste and Judges Favorite Taste Awards. Overall Best Taste was voted on by the attendees and was awarded to Healthy You Cafe. Located within the Capital Blue Health and Wellness store in Enola, Healthy You Café offers the freshest ingredients with a friendly smile. Enjoy weekly specials with locally grown and seasonal produce. At Taste, they sampled Gluten-Free Avocado Brownies with Fresh Berry Buttercream, Balsamic Berry Pepper jack Crostini, and a Mini BBQ Pork Naan with a Summer Slaw.
Judges Favorite Taste went to Flinchy’s and was voted on by three of our secret judges. Flinchy’s opened in 2003 and is known as the “Home of the Hot Rock. Located in Camp Hill serving bold American food they are known as a casual fine dining restaurant and your local neighborhood bar. They served Chef Dawson’s award-winning Chili which was a smart choice since that was the Judges Favorite!
A portion of the total event proceeds from this year’s event will be going back to two of our Chamber nonprofit members; Beauty After Bruises and Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries. We are proud that we can give back to our nonprofit members and are excited that the donation will allow them to continue to provide important services to our community members.
