United Way of the Capital Region supports programs and services in access to health care, basic needs, school readiness, and workforce development.

How does your business separate itself from your competition?
United Way is uniquely designed to move the needle on the most pressing issues facing our community because we bring everyone to the table to develop solutions that work.

How do you see your business growing in the future?
United Way wants to expand its work to help more people achieve independence and help move families forward in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties.

How does your business get involved in the community?
United Way has been deeply rooted in our community for more than 100 years. We partner with businesses, nonprofits, government entities, schools, foundations, and places of worship.

How long has your business been a member of the Chamber?
Since 1973, almost 50 years. 

How has Chamber membership been beneficial to your business?
In 2014, the Chamber was a key partner in our comprehensive asset of the most pressing needs in our community. As a result of this study, we refocused our work to make a greater impact in our community.


United Way helps individuals and families become independent through programs that are proven to work. We provide tools and life skills for people to take control of their futures through our access to health care, basic needs, school readiness, and workforce development initiatives.
