West Shore Chamber of Commerce

#businessSPOTLIGHT: Cherewka Law

What services or products does your business offer?
For over 30 years, Cherewka Law has been committed to helping our clients protect what is most important to them. We are a dedicated team of attorneys and legal professionals who provide highly personalized planning services to individuals, couples, families and businesses in our primary practice areas of: Estate Planning, Business and Corporate Law, Estate & Trust Administration, Nonprofit Organization, Real Estate Law, and Elder Law. Additionally, we offer niche experience with serving breweries, agricultural clients, and those with Special Needs family members.

How does your business separate itself from your competition?
Our unique collaborative approach allows us to prepare comprehensive plans for our clients. Our attorneys and staff take the time to ask the right questions and learn the details about your family, business, or specific transaction, so the proper advice and plan can be put into place. We also encourage collaborative planning with your other trusted advisors. We routinely work with financial advisors, insurance professionals, and accountants to ensure your professional team is working in unison to meet your personal or professional goals.

How do you see your business growing in the future?
We’ve always taken the approach at Cherewka that our business should evolve alongside our clients and not in pursuit of them. As we recognize emerging needs and complimentary services to what we already offer, we’re open to considering new practice areas and ways to serve the business owners and families of this region, but we also love having strong, trusted professional connections throughout the market that we can refer our clients to for services we don’t provide. One current area of our business that we do see growing in the very near future is our Corporate Care Program which assists business owners with the rigorous responsibility of staying on top of new government regulations and registration requirements.

How does your business get involved in the community?
At Cherewka, our mission centers on empowering families, businesses, and nonprofits who are dedicated to building generational strength within the community. We are proud to support these organizations through both volunteer efforts and financial contributions, as we believe that authentic engagement is key to fostering resilient neighborhoods. This year and years passed we have supported The Peyton Walker Foundation, Nouri’s Place, The New Cumberland Fire Department, Pink Hands of Hope and the Unleased Foundation to name a few.

As residents ourselves in these communities that we serve, we understand the unique challenges our neighbors face and are committed to making a positive impact.

How long has your business been a member of the Chamber?
Cherewka Law has been a proud member of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce since 2014!

How has Chamber membership been beneficial to your business?
As an organization that believes whole-heartedly in the idea of “all ships rising,” what we appreciate most about being a member of the Chamber is getting to see our friends and neighboring businesses thrive and contribute to these successes within our community.
