We Hosted Our First Two “Intro to Golf Clinics” This Summer!

On June 8th and July 27th, we hosted our first two Intro to Golf Clinics at Rich Valley Golf! Two local golf pros, Bob Nickey and Jaimie Wharton came out each day to teach individuals the ins and outs of the golf game. They started at the three-hole executive course at Rich Valley where they taught the individuals how to putt, then went into chipping, and ended at the driving range with tips on how to drive the ball straight. If the players felt up to it they were able to play through the three-hole executive course afterward to get a feel for the game.

On the second date on July 27th, three individuals from the first clinic came back to play through nine holes with an experienced golf volunteer. Dan Jameson, of Jameson Stone LLC and Chair of our Golf Committee, played with these individuals and went over how it works to play in a tournament and on a course.

Overall, we were excited that we could offer this as an option and benefit to our members for those that wanted to feel more comfortable playing golf in a tournament or refresh their skills. Total for the two clinics we had about 25 individuals come out and learn the game of golf.

To learn more about the two golf pros that took time out of their busy schedule to instruct our attendees or to sign up for individual lessons, read on below:
