We are working hard to continue sharing information and resources as we receive them about the ongoing COVID-19 situation. In addition to this information, we have asked our Chamber members to let us know how they are responding to the current pandemic, what they are doing to support the local community and provide services during this time. As always, we are YOUR Chamber and want you to know that we are here for you. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help you navigate this ever-changing situation.

We have a list below of ways that you can support these local businesses and it will be updated as we receive the information:

CATERING/FOOD-SERVICE/GROCERY/RESTAURANTS

Chick-fil-A Mechanicsburg – We will be serving you currently during the hours of 8am-9pm Monday-Saturday, for Drive Thru, Carry Out and strongly encourage all to download the CFA One APP https://www.chick-fil-a.com/one to place your orders to help us better serve you.

Cornerstone Coffeehouse – You may come in to order, call ahead to order, or order for curb-side pickup at (717) 737-5026. We appreciate you all so much for keeping us going during this time. It’s a privilege to serve this community! For more updates visit their Facebook page here.

Dockside Willies – offering take out & delivery within a 15-mile radius. No delivery fee. View their menu here.

Duck Donuts, Mechanicsburg – We will be open from 6:30 am – 3:00 pm every day. Additionally, we will be offering take-out or delivery service only and will be temporarily suspending dine-in orders. We encourage you to use our online ordering through our app or website to place orders for pickup or delivery! You can also still call or stop in to place a to-go order.

Edible Arrangements (Camp Hill, York, Lancaster) – To keep our staff and guests safe and healthy, we will be offering curbside pickup of our online orders. Ever Grain Brewing Co. – We are implementing take out & delivery service during the hours of 11 am to 7 pm until further notice. Delivery service will be available in the following areas: Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, Silver Spring, Lemoyne, New Cumberland, Wormleysburg & Enola. We will post menus of food, and beers available in 4-pack and in crowlers. In addition, we have the following specials available: ~4 Crowlers for $40, please pick from the daily posted list. ~Gift cards: Buy $100 get $10, buy $50 get $5 – these can be added on to your orders. We ask that all transactions are done via credit card with deliveries having an 18% tip included at the time of order. Please call us at 717.525.8222 to place all orders!

Flinchy’s Restaurants – Will be offering take out service/curbside pickup only of our normal menu items. Everything is 25% off and you can call (717) 761-9000 to place your order. Visit our website for our menu.

GIANT Food Stores – In order to allow more time for team members to sanitize, unload deliveries, stock shelves, and better serve customers throughout the day, all store hours will be adjusted to 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. beginning Thursday, March 19, until further notice. The time frame of 6 a.m. – 7 a.m. is only for customers who are age 60 and older. The GIANT Company is hiring temporary and part-time team members across its family of brands which includes GIANT, MARTIN’S, GIANT Direct, MARTIN’S Direct and GIANT Heirloom Market. Immediate positions as service associates, cashiers, general stock clerks, drivers and fulfillment center selectors are available. Those interested, including anyone whose employment may have been affected by the pandemic, can apply online HERE or speak with any store manager.

Healthy You Cafe – Is offering curbside pick-up of our regular menu, delivery ($20 minimum within 5 miles) and providing Good-To-Go meals with 24 hours notice! Hook & Flask Still Works – We will be offering PICKUP OR DELIVERY from 3 – 9pm. Delivery will be available for a 10 miles radius for a $5 service charge. Philly Pretzel Factory – NEW HOURS: 8AM – 5PM MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY, 9AM – 4PM SUNDAY. Delivery is now available through our app! This is the most cost-effective option for delivery available through us! CURBSIDE PICKUP: We ask that you place your order online and put “curbside” in the notes along with a vehicle description. High Hotels – We wanted to share our three Hilton and Marriott properties in the Rossmoyne Business Park are still operating to support all essential businesses required to travel in our region. We are offering preferred rates over the next several weeks to distressed chamber members unable to return to their homes or still required to travel. High Hotels will also be hosting two different blood drives in April with the American Red Cross on April 3rd and 29th. Taking place from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm in the Rossmoyne Suite at 4940 Ritter Rd, Ste 102, Mechanicsburg (next to Isaac’s).

INSURANCE/HEALTHCARE

AIA, Alera Groupis taking additional precautionary measures to minimize risks associated with the spread of COVID-19 and is prepared for business continuity in a virtual capacity. UPMC Hospitals – As coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads in our communities throughout the world, healthcare organizations have been tasked with finding more efficient, safer ways to provide patients with the care they need while limiting the spread of the virus. UPMC Health Plan – The health of our members is our top priority. In order to ensure that no UPMC Health Plan member faces a financial barrier to receiving needed testing, we will waive any applicable deductibles, copayments, or other cost-sharing for COVID-19 testing when ordered by a member’s treating medical provider. For those with a referral from a provider to get a coronavirus test, UPMC now has a test and in-person testing center that patients can access starting on March 17, 2020. NONPROFITS

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region – Bigs, Littles & families: If you, at any point, are experiencing issues due to the coronavirus impact and need support or guidance on next steps, or want to make sure you’re doing the right thing, please CONTACT US. We are here as a resource for you so if you need support or guidance, please reach out to us. This afternoon, we sent out an email to our BBBS network and updated our website with our COVID-19 response, program service changes and event postponements. New Hope Ministries –  is still looking for healthy volunteers willing to help pack food boxes and deliver boxes to cars at each of our seven food pantries in south-central Pennsylvania. On Monday, March 30, 2020, as an additional day of rest for our staff and volunteers and in appreciation of all the hard work they have been doing during this crisis, all New Hope centers and programs will be closed. We will reopen Tuesday, March 31 in all locations with fresh energy and hearts of service!

PA Parks & Forests Foundation – While all state parks and forests are officially closed, open spaces will remain accessible. The public will still be able to access trails, lakes, forests, roads, and parking areas for passive and dispersed recreation, such as hiking. Closed facilities include: Park and forest offices and visitor centers, Restrooms, Campgrounds, cabins and all forms of overnight accommodations, and Public programs, events, and trainings are canceled. While travel isn’t restricted, the best advice to slow the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home.

Salvation Army – Is asking that the local community not drop off donations currently since they don’t want to increase traffic to their building due to the drive-thru option for their clients being utilized. TFEC & The United Way of the Capital Region – We are committed to serving our most vulnerable community members by providing responsive supports to our long-standing and trusted nonprofit community partners on the front lines, while also doing what we can with resources to be of help to our community. The COVID-19 Community Response Fund will provide emergency funds to long-standing nonprofit organizations in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, Perry & Northern York Counties that are responding to the spread of COVID-19 and experiencing financial challenges by doing so. Barley Snyder – With businesses facing the unprecedented disruption caused by the global coronavirus pandemic, Barley Snyder has established a COVID-19 Response Service Team to help businesses with their legal questions in this uncertain time. The team is comprised of nearly 20 attorneys and is being led by attorney Martin R. Siegel, a former attorney for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Cumberland Valley Cleaning – As long as we are healthy and legally able to perform our services we will continue to do so. If we become short-staffed we may have to adjust some of the days if needed, however, that is not anticipated at this point. This weekend we instituted some changes to our cleaning procedures, we are now using a new germicidal/disinfectant cleaner in place of our current antibacterial cleaner. This product is medical grade and will be used in restrooms, counters, sinks, and door handles. It won’t be used on special floors or special counters. The cost of the product is very expensive. We are however absorbing the costs and will not pass it on to our clients. We currently have enough for a 90 day supply and have more on backorder.

Hook & Flask Still Works – has joined local distilleries in making hand sanitizer for first responders and medical professionals. Once these front line workers have what they need they may create a community fill station for individuals to fill their own bottles.

Roger That Photography – Starting Tuesday, March 24, Roger That will offer safe, socially distanced on-the-porch family portraits within his own neighborhood in Silver Spring Township. Photos will be uploaded to an online gallery, where families may order digital downloads, prints, and/or other photo gifts. ALL proceeds from online sales made during #TheFrontStepsProject will be donated to an area charity/charities that have gone above and beyond to serve the community during the crisis. SECCO Home Services/Pronto Plumbing – As an essential business that sets out to make sure your home and family are healthy and protected, we remain open for your service needs and to help in any way we can. Rest assured our staff and technicians are fully complying with the recommendations of the CDC to ensure we are doing all we can to minimize the spread of germs and illness. Effective immediately, we will be waiving our dispatch fee for all service calls -all days, all hours- for the foreseeable future.
