Housing and Homeless Services Coordinator – Hanover SiteNew Hope Ministries, PA
We seek a caring and professional individual to manage our Hanover-based housing and homeless assistance program. This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position, and requires a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend responsibilities. Position is eligible for health and retirement and generous paid time off benefits.
Duties include screening homeless and near homeless individuals and families for emergency housing assistance needs, performing community outreach, homeless prevention, and supporting permanent housing for individuals and families through casework and ongoing engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, social work and interpersonal skills, have training and experience in the housing first intervention model, trauma informed care, and strengths-based case management practices. Applicants should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, and have a desire to share the love of Christ by helping our neighbors in times of need. New Hope is open to considering individuals without prior homeless intervention experience who demonstrate commitment and concern for this population. Spanish language proficiency would be a plus!
